Do you alter suits and clothes I bought somewhere else?
Yes — from anywhere. Department stores, online orders, other tailors' work, inherited garments. No purchase from us required. This is most of what we do every day.
How much do alterations cost?
Simple work starts low: trouser hems from $10, waists and tapering from $25, jacket sleeves from $40. Bigger jobs like shortening a jacket body start around $100, and shoulder work is quoted in person. Prices can vary with fabric, garment and timeline — you always get a free, exact quote before any work begins, and the price you approve is the price you pay.
How long do alterations take?
Most jobs are ready in 3–5 days. In a hurry? We offer same-day and 24-hour alteration for an extra fee — call ahead and we’ll have a tailor ready.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in with your garment at 3334 W Friendly Ave #118 (Friendly Center) any day. A tailor pins it on you and quotes it on the spot — about five minutes.
Can you make an old or oversized suit fit like new?
Usually, yes — tapering, shortening, modernizing lapels, and relining can bring a dated or inherited suit back into rotation for far less than replacing it. Bring it in and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth altering.
Do you alter wedding dresses and formalwear?
Yes — gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and formalwear are quoted on inspection, always before we start. For wedding timelines, earlier is better: bring it in 3–4 weeks ahead when possible.
